Hua has been delighting the youngsters in her neighbourhood for years by selling exquisite handmade dolls. There are no two dolls alike, and each is stitched with a small daisy. Every time a doll leaves Hua's hands, she feels a twinge of sadness, because she considers her creations to be her own children.
Hua decides one day that she is too elderly and exhausted to continue making daisy dolls. So, what happens if a young girl is in desperate need of a doll? And, if each doll holds a special place in Hua's heart, does she really truly bid them farewell? Wenxuan Cao wrote this incredible original narrative, which includes Lei Zhao's outstanding mixed media artwork.
